India announces new envoys for Mozambique, Chile

Pavan Kapoor, a joint secretary in the external affairs ministry, has been appointed as the next Indian High Commissioner to Mozambique in southeast Africa.
The Indian Foreign Service officer of 1990 batch will take up his assignment shortly, a statement said Monday.
In another appointment, Debraj Pradhan, the Indian envoy to Angola, has been named as the next ambassador to Chile.
Pradhan, an IFS officer of the 1981 batch, will take up office as ambassador to the South American country shortly, a statement said.
