Indian economy grows 4.8 percent in July-September

The Indian economy registered 4.8 percent growth in the second quarter of the current financial year, government data showed Friday.

According to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) here the agriculture sector registered a healthy growth of 4.6 percent, while manufacturing expanded at a sluggish 1 percent in the July-September quarter.
