TV actress Paula Garces and her director-husband Antonio Hernandez have welcomed a baby boy.
Garces gave birth to her and Hernandez first child Wednesday.
The 39-year-old actress is already mother to a 21-year-old daughter, Skye Mahoney, from a previous relationship.
"After a difficult 14-hour labour, my mom had to have an emergency c-section. My brother was born beautiful and healthy, thank God, and (she) is doing well also," her daughter told people.com.
The couple had been trying to start a family for several years. They had almost given up hope on having a child of their own until Garces learned during a routine doctor's visit that she had conceived.
Garces, best known for her role as Maria in the "Harold & Kumar" comedy films, married Hernandez in 2002.
