Japan's August trade deficit at 569.7 billon yen

Japan's trade deficit for August stood at 569.7 billion yen (about $4.72 billion), the finance ministry said on Thursday.

On a customs-cleared basis, the world's third largest economy's exports rose 3.1 percent, while imports dropped 3.1 percent, Xinhua news agency reported citing the ministry as saying.
