Karunanidhi congratulates Rahul Gandhi

In a faxed letter to Rahul Gandhi Karunanidhi said: "Your abiding interest in the youth of our country and your earnest commitment to the advancement of rural areas and farmers are all well- known."

"During your tenure as the (Congress) vice-president, I am sure that you will take the party to a new height," he added.
