Kolkata Knight Riders win by seven wickets

Kolkata Knight Riders coasted to a seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in the eighth Indian Premier League opener here on Wednesday.

Sent in to bat, Mumbai Indians scored 168/3, with skipper Rohit Sharma scoring an unbeaten 98, while Corey Anderson was not out on 55. KKR pacer Morne Morkel returned figures of 2/18.

In reply, KKR picked up 170/3 in 18.3 overs.

Skipper Gautam Gambhir got 57, Manish Pandey scored 40, and Surya Kumar Yadav blazed to an unbeaten 46 of 20 balls.
