Luxury automobile giant Land Rover received over 200 orders for its yet to be launched premium SUV "Discovery Sport" in India, the company announced on Friday.
"We are very excited that Land Rover's most versatile premium SUV, 'Discovery Sport' has received such an overwhelming response from our distinguished and discerning customers in India," said Rohit Suri, president, Jaguar Land Rover, India, in a statement.
The company opened bookings for the SUV on August 10, 2015. Within four days, it received over 200 orders for the vehicle slated to be unveiled on September 2, 2015.
Land Rover vehicles are available in India through 22 retail outlets across major cities.
Luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover is owned by the Tata Group.
