Madhur Bhandarkar settles on 'Indu Sarkar' script

Filmmaker Madhu Bhandarkar has finished scripting his upcoming film "Indu Sarkar".

Bhandarkar, who has helmed films like "Fashion", "Page 3" and "Heroine", tweeted on Monday: "After months of research and meeting politicians, journalists, photographers,authors and common man from the emergency era finally... The script 'Indu Sarkar'."

The movie is reportedly based on the Emergency era, a 21-month long period from 1975 to 1977, when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had declared a state of Emergency across the country.

The details about the film's cast and story are still under wraps.
