Man arrested for murdering daughter

A man was arrested Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district for murdering his eight-year-old daughter, police said.

The man, who slit the girl's throat, was arrested from Dharna (Mendhar) village in Poonch, a senior police officer told IANS here.

"Preliminary investigations indicate the accused slit the throat of his daughter with a sharp edged weapon. The exact motive of the murder is being established," the officer said.
