Man arrested for trying to hoist Tricolour in Srinagar

A man was arrested on Tuesday while trying to hoist the national flag here in order to avoid a commotion, police said.

The identity of the man who tried to hoist the Tricolour at the Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) in the Lal Chowk area was not immediately known.

Last year, around a dozen Shiv Sena activists were detained for a similar act.
