Man lynched for stealing battery in Jharkhand

A man was beaten to death by people for stealing a mobile phone battery in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district early Friday, police said.

According to police, villagers caught Sajid while stealing the battery from a shop and started beating him black and blue. He died on the spot.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a case against unidentified people.
