Man shot dead over land dispute

A 47-year-old man was on Wednesday shot dead allegedly by his 20-year-old cousin following a land dispute, police said.

The deceased was identified as Vedpal, a resident of village Damdama near Sohna. Police said he was shot dead from close range near his house. He died on the spot.

Vedpal's father Kran Singh, a retired soldier, has lodged a complaint against three brothers.

"The main accused, Mundarpal, has been arrested and the others will be arrested soon," police officer Ravinder Kumar told IANS.
