Minor killed over kite flying in Delhi

A 16-year-old died after being thrashed by four minors over kite flying, police said Sunday.

The victim's friend was also beaten up.

The incident occurred in east Delhi's Harsh Vihar Saturday around 7.30 p.m. Rajan and Dinesh were rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital where the former was declared dead.

"The culprits will be apprehended soon," said a police officer.

Residents and family members of the deceased protested outside Harsh Vihar police station Sunday by blocking roads.
