Minor raped in Delhi

A nine-year-old girl was raped by a juvenile staying near her house in New Delhi, police said Friday.

The girl was playing outside her home at Chandani Mahal area in central Delhi when she was lured away by the accused. He took the girl to his home and raped her Thursday evening, police said.

Hearing her screams, some people managed to enter the house and caught the accused. The girl was bleeding and was taken to a hospital.

The accused was handed over to police.
