Minor raped in Delhi forest

An 11-year-old girl was abducted and brutally raped by an unidentified man in a forest here, police said Wednesday.

The incident happened at Govindpuri area in south Delhi Monday night. The girl was found bleeding two hours after she was reported missing, police said.

"The girl herself managed to return home and told her parents about the assault. She said a man took her to a forest when she was playing outside her house and raped her," said a police officer.

She is now undergoing treatment in hospital, police said.
