Modi greets Karnataka on Makar Sankranti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday greeted the people of Karnataka on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, saying the festival may bring "abundant happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives".

"Sankranti greetings to my sisters and brothers of Karnataka. May this auspicious day bring abundant happiness and prosperity in everyone's lives," he said in a statement.
