Modi pays tribute to mathematician S. Ramanujan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday paid tributes to Indian mathematics wizard Srinivasa Ramanujan on his birth anniversary.

"A genius who made a monumental contribution to mathematics, I pay my tributes to the legendary S. Ramanujan on his birth anniversary," he said in a tweet.

Ramanujan (1887-1920) was born Dec 22 in Erode in then Madras Presidency.
