PM Modi to visit Kerala on December 15

Modi will unveil the statue of R Sankar, who was the state CM in 1962-64, during his visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kerala on December 15 - for the first time after taking office last year.

Addressing reporters here, state Bharatiya Janata Party president V Muraleedharan said Modi will unveil the statue of R Sankar, who was chief minister in 1962-64, at Kollam.

Sankar was also the president of the Congress party in Kerala.

But he is regarded as the person who transformed the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam into a powerful social organisation of the Hindu Ezhava community.
