Monsoon to hit Delhi June 30 onwards

Delhi and its adjoining areas are likely to see the monsoon by June 30, weather experts said on Tuesday.

They said the monsoon would hit Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, parts of Haryana and Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh between June 29 and 30.

"Delhi may witness monsoon by June 29," said Mahesh Palawat, Director of private weather forecaster Skymet.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the date for the arrival of the monsoon in Delhi could be between June 30 and July 4.
