Murli Manohar Joshi undergoes knee transplant

Veteran BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi underwent a total knee transplant at the AIIMS here, a hospital statement on Sunday.

According to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), he was admitted to the hospital early this week and had undergone the transplant on Wednesday.

"The leader is recovering well and his vital parameters are normal," said the statement from the AIIMS orthopaedic department.
