Neighbour arrested for raping 5-year-old

A man was arrested for raping a minor girl here, police said Tuesday.

The incident was reported from west Delhi's Bhalsawa Dairy area Monday night.

The girl, 5, had gone to buy some articles from a nearby shop Monday night when the accused Dileep, 22, took her to a secluded place and committed the crime.

He was caught and beaten up before being handed over to the police.

The girl was rushed to a hospital where her condition is stable.
