New Hindi course for government employees

The government has decided to introduce a new practice-based Hindi course for employees of all ministries, central government departments and public sector undertakings to help them carry out office work in the language.
The course aims to make all those who possess a 'working knowledge of Hindi' proficient enough to carry out their official work in Hindi, a senior official said.
This programme will be implemented from the financial year 2015-16. The course classes will be conducted by the Central Hindi Training Institute/ Hindi Teaching Scheme, Department of Official Language during office working hours.
The course will be mainly based on practice, in which 80 percent of training time will be scheduled for practice and 20 percent to discuss the theoretical aspects of the course.
