Nine killed in Moscow train accident

Moscow, May 20 (IANS/ITAR -TASS) At least nine people were killed and 45 others injured Tuesday when a passenger train and a goods train collided on the outskirts of Moscow, a police source said.

The incident occurred near the Bekasovo station on the outskirts of Moscow when several cars of the goods train derailed and hit the Moscow-bound passenger train from Moldovan capital Chisinau.

The injured were being treated in hospital.

The interior ministry said there were about 400 people in the passenger train.
