Several places in Odisha will experience moderate to heavy rainfall over Tuesday due to a cyclonic circulation, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
According to Regional Meteorological Centre, moderate to heavy rain is likely to occur at most places in the state while heavy rainfall is predicted at one or two places over interior Odisha.
"Even though low pressure formed over North-West Bay of Bengal and adjacent to Odisha and West Bengal has weakened, the state is likely to receive rainfall under the impact of a cyclonic circulation," said Sarat Chandra Sahu, Director of Regional Meteorological Centre.
Rainfall has been recorded at most places over north coastal part of the state and heavy rainfall has occurred at one or two places over north interior Odisha, said a MeT bulletin.
