One dead in Jammu fire

One person was killed Tuesday in an overnight blaze in Kishtwar district of Jammu region, police said.

A fire broke out in a barrack at Lal Patana in Kishtwar town's Indira Nagar area. The barrack was being used by the state armed police battalion, police said.

"One person died on the spot. A probe is on to ascertain the cause of fire," a senior police officer told IANS here Tuesday.
