Ostapenko beats Puig, through to third round of French Open
Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko on Wednesday defeated Puerto Rican Monica Puig to go through to the third round of the French Open tennis tournament.
Ostapenko defeated Puig 6-3, 6-2 in a match which lasted around one hour, reports Efe.
The Latvian is set to play against Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko, who scored a 6-2, 6-2 win over Russian Ekaterina Makarova.
