Pakistan opposition candidate elected Senate chairman

Sanjrani had been backed by the joint opposition, including the Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement-(MQM-P), Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and independents from and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
