It was a sunny Friday morning in the national capital and the minimum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
The Met Office has forecast a partly overcast day ahead and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.
"There will be a partly cloudy sky. Dust storms could occur in some areas," said an official at the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was recorded at 57 percent.
Thursday's maximum temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.7 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average.
