Pegasus offers package for start-up fliers

Regional airline Air Pegasus on Monday unveiled a novel package offering allied services to start-up fliers for reducing total travel cost by 20 percent.
The city-based budget carrier, which provides feeder service across the southern region on a hub-and-spoke model, has set up 'Smartup' to offer travel services for start-up entrepreneurs, spanning flights, accommodation, cab facility, etc.
"With travel bills accounting for about 20 percent of the revenue for start-ups, we are offering a single travel solution for a decent rate, which includes flights, accommodation, cab facility, special assistance at the airport, priority check-in process and special meal on board," Air Pegasus said in a statement here.
'Smartup' is independent of market price variations which affect airfares during festive or peak seasons.
"As start-ups cut corners due to high operating cost and limited funding, we intend to help them to travel with a package deal, providing allied services, including logistics," said Air Pegasus MD Shyson Thomas.
Low-cost airline Air Pegasus launched its operations in April.
