PM hosts dinner for outgoing army chief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday hosted a farewell dinner in honour of the outgoing army chief, Gen. Bikram Singh.

The dinner, hosted at the prime minister's 7, Race Course Road residence, was attended by Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley, Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjeet Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and others, an official statement said.

Lt. Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag will take over as the next army chief Aug 1.
