Portronics launches affordable in-car power accessory

Domestic digital solutions provider Portronics on Tuesday launched a new "Car Power III" -- an in-car accessory for charging smartphones, tablets and other devices -- at just Rs 699.

An extension of "Car Power Series, it comes with 4 USB ports and has 6A charging capacity in total.

"Car Power III" has an inbuilt smart chip to protect the devices against over-current and over-charging.

The 1.5-metre long cable allows back seat passengers to easily charge their devices.

A clip on the charger lets the user hang it on the car set flap, the company said in a statement.
