President greets South Korea on national day

President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday greeted the people of South Korea on their national day, and said he was confident of closer ties between the two countries.

"Warm greetings and felicitations to government and people of the Republic of Korea on their national day," he tweeted.

"Confident that India - South Korea partnership will expand and diversify further in strategic areas of mutual convergence," he said.

South Korea's national day commemorates victory over Japanese rule on August 15, 1945.
