Punjab's Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Wednesday ordered his department to ensure that all departmental work is in done in Punjabi language.
Announcing the decision on the occasion of Punjab Day, the minister said orders in this regard had been issued and disciplinary action would be taken against those officers and employees who do not work in Punjabi.
Punjabi is the official language of the state but most departments tend to use English in all departmental and official work.
