Quake hits Assam

An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale shook parts of Assam Monday night, the Met department said.

The quake occurred at a depth of 10 km in Darrang region at 10.56 p.m., the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a report on its website.
