Qualifier Gastao Elias upsets Juan Martin del Potro
Portuguese qualifier Gastao Elias defeated Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro 7-6, 6-4 in the round of 16 at the Open Auvergne-Rhone-Alps Park here on Wednesday.
Elias broke the Argentinian's serve three times and fired six aces in a match lasting one hour and 52 minutes, reports Efe.
The Portuguese tennis player is set to play against Canadian Milos Raonic after he eliminated Uzbek Denis Istomin 6-4, 6-3.
