The Rajya Sabha briefly adjourned on Monday following an uproar after Bahujan Samajwadi Party Chief Mayawati raised issues pertaining to cases of Dalit atrocities in Gujarat.
The House is adjourned till 12:13 PM.
"Since BJP came to power, atrocities against Dalits are on the rise across the country," said Mayawati.
This led to uproar and the House was adjourned for 10 minutes.
The monsoon session of Parliament began earlier on Monday.
