Russia to build more n-power plants in Iran

Iran and Russia have reached a primary agreement for building two more nuclear power plants in Iran, officials said Wednesday.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, a spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI), said Wednesday that the both countries have reached an agreement on this, IRNA news agency reported.
Commenting on AEOI's talks Tuesday with Russia's State Atomic Energy Corporation (Rosatom) in Tehran, Kamalvandi said that the talks resulted in a draft protocol on promotion of Iran-Russia nuclear cooperation based on the previous agreement in 1992.
The primary agreement is to be endorsed by AEOI president Ali Akbar Salehi and Rosatom chief Sergei Kiriyenko of Russia.
Kiriyenko arrived in Tehran March 11 leading a delegation to discuss with Iranian officials the plans to build two new nuclear power plants in the country.
