Saina rises to No.7, Sindhu back in top-10

Following her win at the India Grand Prix Gold Sunday, Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal jumped two places to No.7 in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) women's singles rankings released Thursday.

Saina overtook German Juliane Schenk and Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying to rise up the ladder.

The runner-up of the Lucknow event P.V. Sindhu entered the top-10 for the second time in her career. The World Championship bronze medallist equalled her best ranking (No.10) by rising a place.

Men's singles runner-up at Lucknow Kidambi Srikanth made a remarkable leap of 10 places to be ranked No.20, overtaking Mumbai's Ajay Jayaram, who dropped a place to No.22.

 

Parupalli Kashyap is the best ranked Indian male shuttler at No.18.
