Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will continue playing for his country, the striker indicated in a message on Monday.
"Some may think it's over, but it isn't over," Salah wrote on his Twitter handle. "There needs to be change."
Egypt were knocked out of the ongoing World Cup in the group stages and Salah managed to score a goal from the spot.
It was a forgettable showing otherwise for the African side.
Before the tournament, Salah was involved in a tiff over image rights with the Egyptian Football Association. Since Egypt's elimination, he was reportedly unhappy with criticism received after he was pictured with controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, according to a ESPNFC report.
Meanwhile, Salah signed a long-term contract extension with Liverpool, the Premier League club announced.
