Sara Gilbert welcomes baby boy

Actress Sara Gilbert has given birth to her third child, first with wife Linda Perry - a baby boy.

Already a parent to son Levi and daughter Sawyer with her ex-girlfriend Allison Adler, Gilbert and her current wife Perry welcomed newborn Rhodes Emilio Gilbert Perry into the world on February 28, the 40-year-old revealed the happy news on talk show "The Talk", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Gilbert also shared a photograph of the child, in which he's seen sleeping while wrapped in a blanket and wearing a hat.

Co-hosts Julie Chen and Sharon Osbourne later sent their congratulations to the couple through micro-blogging website Twitter.

 

Osbourne tweeted: "Congratulations @THEsaragilbert & @RealLindaPerry on the birth of your beautiful boy, Rhodes. I hope he has a healthy and spectacular life."

Chen added: "@THEsaragilbert and her new baby boy... so happy for you and @RealLindaPerry!".

Gilbert and Perry began dating in 2011, before exchanging wedding vows in a low-key ceremony last March in front of a small number of guests.
