Search operation in Srinagar's main market

Security forces carried out a search operation in city centre Lal Chowk -- the main business hub of Srinagar -- on Saturday.

Troopers of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) carried out a cordon and search operation in the area, an official said.

Entry and exit points to the Court Road area adjacent to Lal Chowk were sealed as the forces carried out the search.

Police said the operation is now over.
