Senator's son killed in Pakistan

A son of a senator from Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was shot dead Thursday, a media report said.

Shamsul Islam, son of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader and FATA Senator Saleh Shah, was on his way to South Waziristan when he was attacked, Dawn online reported.

FATA authorities have launched a probe into Islam's killing.
