World No.1 Serena Williams of the United States beat Ana Ivanovic from Serbia 6-2, 6- 2 to advance to the semifinals of the 22nd Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
The match was one-sided as Ivanovic did not find the means against Williams' powerful forehand and two-handed backhand. The final point was interrupted several times due to noise among the audience and Ivanovic protested to the referee due to the distraction when she was serving, reports Xinhua.
Williams said she felt "really good but still lot of things to improve. I can do better, that makes me really happy."
