Shuttler Pawar fails to qualify in Hong Kong

Indian shuttler Anand Pawar failed to qualify for the main draw of the men's singles at the Hong Kong Open Super Series here Tuesday.

Seeded third in the qualifying draw, Pawar lost in the first round to local boy Nan Wei 21-18, 13-21, 13-21 in 50 minutes.

The main draw of all the categories starts Wednesday.
