Sindhu goes down in semis, settles for bronze

India's P.V. Sindhu went down in the women's singles semi-final and had to settle for the bronze, losing to Spanish ninth seed Carolina Marin in straight games of the World Badminton Championships here Saturday.

The European Champion needed only 47 minutes to beat the 11th seeded Sindhu 21-17, 21-15 at the Ballerup Super Arena.
