Soldier injured in landmine blast near LoC

An Indian soldier was critically injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Jammu district on Thursday, police said.

"Alok Kumar, a jawan of 6 Madras Regiment, was critically injured in the blast at Khour near the LoC in Akhnoor sector of Jammu on Thursday afternoon," a senior police officer told IANS here.

"The injured soldier has been shifted to hospital and the area has been cordoned off to trace any other explosive device hidden there," the officer added.
