Somnath Chatterjee in hospital

Former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee has been admitted to a city nursing home following some chest-related ailment, a hospital official said Monday.

"He is a patient of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was admitted Sunday night following some complications. His condition is stable now," a spokesperson of the Belle Vue nursing home said.
