Speaker holds all-party meeting

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan Saturday held an all-party meeting to ensure smooth functioning of parliament during the winter session beginning Monday.

Leaders of political parties in the Lok Sabha attended the meeting. It was, however, not attended by the Trinamool Congress, sources said.

It was followed by dinner which was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
