After successful female directors such as Nandini Reddy and B. Jaya, first-timer Chuniya is all set to call the shots for an upcoming yet-untitled Telugu romantic-drama. Chuniya is excited as well nervous about her directorial debut.
"After several years of struggle in television, I have landed this opportunity to direct. It's exciting but I also feel nervous because it's a huge responsibility to prove yourself in a male-dominated industry," Chuniya told IANS.
Chuniya started her career with Telugu television soap opera "Yuva".
Karthik Raju will play the lead in the film, which is expected to soon go on the floors.
"We are finalizing the rest of the cast. As soon as we're done with it, we'll start shooting," she said.
