Term of Attorney General, other law officers extended

The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Saturday approved extension of term of Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi and Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar until further orders.

The term of the Additional Solicitor Generals (Supreme Court) have also been extended, said a Department of Personnel and Training note.

Rohatgi was appointed Attorney General for a period of three years in June 2014 after the Narendra Modi government assumed office.
